The Summer 2026 Bag Edit: Four Shapes Defining the Season

Summer 2026 isn’t about one bag. It’s about four moods.

Runways from Milan to Paris this season told the same story in four dialects: nature-inspired textures, sun-soaked color, soft tailoring, and a bucket bag dressed up for dinner. Each one is a different way to dress your day — and we’ve designed for all of them.

Here’s the edit.

1. Raffia & Woven Texture — The Holiday Hero

Bottega did it in leather. Hereu in cotton. Jil Sander in straw. The intrecciato/woven story is everywhere, and for Summer 2026 it’s gone fully tactile: raffia, crochet, hand-woven cotton, all carried as totes, buckets, and oversized shoppers.

Why it works: texture is the new logo. A woven bag reads “I’m on holiday” without saying a word.

Our take → the Summer Bag — vegan leather body, woven detail, beach-to-spritz proportions. The bag we’d pack first.

2. The Butter Yellow Moment

Pantone hasn’t said it yet, but every editor already has. Butter yellow — soft, creamy, between vanilla and marigold — is the color of Summer 2026. It looks good on every skin tone, photographs like a dream, and quietly steals every outfit it’s in.

Why it works: it’s a neutral disguised as a statement. You can wear it with white linen, denim, black tailoring — it never fights.

Our take → watch this space. New colorway dropping for the season.

3. Slouchy Shoulder, Soft Power

The hard-edge shopper is officially out. In its place: the slouchy shoulder. Soft body, half-moon profile, carried under the arm or hooked on the elbow — the silhouette of Loewe Flamenco, Toteme, Bottega Veneta SS26.

Why it works: it moves with you. It’s the opposite of “trying.” And it photographs beautifully because it always finds its own shape.

Our take → the Mira Bag — pebbled vegan leather, slouchy crescent body, four core colorways for Summer 2026.

4. Crochet After-Dark — The Going-Out Bucket

The biggest plot twist of the season: the raffia and crochet story doesn’t stop at the beach. Add a gold chain, a few pearl details, a clean cream palette — suddenly your day-bag becomes your dinner-bag. Loewe, Staud and Sophie Buhai are all leaning into this exact pivot.

Why it works: it bridges day and night without changing register. You don’t need to switch bags between sunset and the first martini.

Our take → a clean-cream crochet body with gold-tone chain and pearl drop — coming with the SS26 drop. The one you’ll reach for at golden hour.

Four trends. One DNA.

Every bag in this edit is vegan leather, hand-finished, made in Italy. We don’t follow the trend because it’s trending — we interpret it because it’s interesting. And we never use animal leather to do it.
